ARNONE, Esther Marie

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, April 27, 2003 Esther Marie Arnone, 85, a bright light to many friends & family since her birth in August 1917. Passed away on April 23, 2003 at Valley Medical Center, Renton, WA. A memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Kent, Monday, 4/28 at 2:00 PM. She was born in Kent and graduated from Meridian High School in 1935. She attended beauty school and worked as a beautician out of her home until she retired in 1970. She married Ben Koski in 1939 and they had 2 daughters Kay & Joan. She was preceded in death by her daughter Joan in 1960 and husband Ben in 1962. She married Tony Arnone in 1965. They enjoyed spending the winters at their home in Sun Lakes, Arizona and took many special trips around the world. Their greatest joy was their grandchildren and being involved with their sports and activities. After Tony's death in 1988 she continued to travel, often taking her daughter, Kay. Esther leaves behind many happy memories with her daughter, Kay Thorsland and her son in law, Keith. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, JoDee Marlatt and husband Ed, Janell Torr and husband Troy, Grant Thorsland and wife Amy, Julie Thorsland, and Jackie Johnson and her husband Scott. She will be remembered as "Grama Great" by her great grandchildren, Ryan and Kyle Marlatt, Tanner and Trey Torr, Steven, Megan and Jack Thorsland, Miranda, Jacob and Nathan Grieser, and Aaron Nichols and Blaine Johnson.
