Dennis Hyrum Demke, born July 6, 1938, passed away Friday, April 18, 2003 while playing golf. Dennis was a loving, devoted father & grandfather. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Hyrum E. Demke and Eva Graeske.
He was married to Marene Wharton and later divorced. He served a mission for the LDS Church, served in the Army Reserve, and played lots of golf.
Preceded in death by his father Hyrum, and survived by his children: Cindy Allen, Mike Demke, Kim Mosley and Julie Davis; his sixteen grandchildren; his three sisters: Coni Peterson, Shirley Jones and Maxine Cockerel; and one incredibly strong mother, Eva Graeske Demke.
Services wil be held on Monday, April 28, 2003 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 S. Temple St., Salt Lake City, UT at 10:00am.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2003 at the same location from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Dennis Demke Memorial Fund (Wells Fargo Bank - Acct #1449434263) to benefit the youth golfers association.
