Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg Arizona October 21, 1971 Delbert Brooks Death a Shock - His many friends in the Wickenburg area and throughout many sections of Arizona, were shocked by the unexpected death of Delbert (Del) Brooks, age 43, in Community Hospital here October 14 following a heart attack. Mr. Brooks, a native of Chandler, Arizona, had operated a cattle ranch northwest of here on Highway 93 for the past five years. He took part in many local rodeos and served a term as president of The Wickenburg Roping Club. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. last Saturday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Lusk of the Church of Nazarene, Casa Grande, officiating. Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife Patricia; three sons, Delbert Brooks, Jr., Moreno, Calif., Bronwyn Brooks, Gila Bend, Arthur Brooks, II, Wickenburg, a foster child, Don Brooks, Wickenburg and a daughter, Mrs. Diane Conway, Wickenburg. His parents, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Brooks of Casa Grande and two sisters, Mrs. Joyce Peindl and Mrs. Wanda Johns, both of Casa Grande, also survive and two grandchildren.
