William J. "Bill" Somishka, 75, of Lake Havasu City, AZ went peacefully home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on March 12, 1928 in Whitehall, Pennsylvania son of the late Jacob and Sophie Somishka. He has lived in Arizona since 1983. Bill served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 until 1954.
He was preceded in death by his son Philip Somishka. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Irene, his daughter Julia (Bruce), son Matthew (Shelly), son Stephen, 9 grandchildren & 1 great-grandson. He is also survived by his brother Mike and sisters Cecilia and Margaret.
Bill was an avid sports fan, but most importantly a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather (pop-pops) and great grandfather.
He will be truly missed by all of his family, but we are strengthened in the knowledge that he is now at peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Services are Monday at 1:00 P.M. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel in Lake Havasu.
