Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg Arizona November 11, 1971 Mrs. Mary Slone - Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. November 10 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home for Mrs. Mary H. Slone, age 78, who died November 7 in Community Hospital. Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery. The Rev. Bert Follmar conducted the services. Mrs. Slone had been a resident here since 1960 when she and her husband Allen moved to Wickenburg from Illinois, after residing for many years in Alaska where they owned and operated lodges in McGrath and Bethel. She was a native of Chicago where she was born January 13, 1893. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Albert, Anchorage, Alaska, two daughter, Mrs. James Owens, DeSoto, Mo., and Mrs. M.L. Daugherty, Juneau, Alaska, two brothers, Howard Hirtzel, Las Cruches, New Mexico, and Theodore Hirtzel, Oak Park, Illinois; a sister, Miss Clara Hirtzel, Lawrenceville, Ill. 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
