The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 05/15/2003 Jason Altaha, 47, died May 10, 2003 in Phoenix. He was born April 12, 1956 in Whiteriver. Jason is survived by his wife, Caroline Lupe-Altaha; two daughters, Jerrica Altaha and Janiece Altaha; two sons, Jeremiah Altaha and Cody Altaha; two grandchildren, Ronique Suttle and Jerron Altaha; three step-daughters and two step-sons; six sisters, Louella Shroulote, Louann Olson, Jane Altaha, Rose Harvey, Venelda Altaha, and Veleda Altaha; two brothers, Ed Altaha and Fred Altaha, Jr. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Altaha, Sr.; his mother, Leona Altaha and his sister, Avis Altaha. He will be brought back to the Altaha residents in Rainbow City with a two night wake beginning Thursday, May 15. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17 at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ft. Apache at 9 a.m. Owens Mortuary of Show Low is handling the arrangements.
