James R. "JR" Beeson, 90 of Lakeside, died May 6, 2003 in Tempe. 
      
Mr. Beeson and yard foreman for Southern Pacific Railroad was born in Petersburg, Texas, then moved to Arizona when he was six years old. His wife Dorothy; three daughters, Gail (Paul) Beeler, Karen (Richard) Beeler, Joni (Don) Fisher; sister Rosalie (Theron) Mitchell; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren survive him.
    
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley or Show Low Elks Lodge No. 2090. A family celebration of life will be held later.
