The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 05/23/2003 Beth M. Cassell Johnson, 63, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at her home in Holbrook. Mrs. Johnson was born in Pearisburg, Virginia. She moved out west after her marriage and has lived in Holbrook for 32 years. Beth was a lover of music and of life. She was a good friend and neighbor to all, and hardly knew what a stranger was. Beth was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her husband, Dale Johnson of Holbrook; four sons, Rod Johnson of Holbrook, Russ Johnson of Benson, Barry Johnson of Brentwood, California and Donnie Johnson of Phoenix; two daughters, Doreen Johnson of Holbrook, and Amy Ewell of Arkansas; her mother, Ruby Cassell of Vernon; one brother Cliff Cassell of Farmington, New Mexico; one sister, Paula Johnson of Vernon; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 24 at Holbrook Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There will be a viewing from 6-8 p.m. at Owens Mortuary in Holbrook and one hour prior to services Saturday.
