Joe E. Russ, 75, of Lakeside died May 29, 2003 in McLeansboro, Illinois. 

Joe was born in Forsyth, Montana and raised in McLeansboro, Illinois. He came to Arizona in 1960 because of arthritis and moved to Lakeside in 1970. He worked as an auto and diesel mechanic in this area for many years.
  
Joe is survived by his four sisters, Martha Drogemuller, Hazel Clark, Velma Riechenback and Arlene Schael, all of whom reside in Illinois; also three sons, Larry Russ of The Dalles, Oregon, Russ Russ of Truckee, California and Robert Russ of Lakeside and six grandchildren.
     
An informal memorial service will be held at Robert's Ranch Saturday, June 7 at 10 a.m.
