BUTLER, Gale Allen (Buck)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 06/17/2003 Gale Allen "Buck" Butler, 56, died June 8, 2003 at his home in St. Johns. He was born in Houston, Texas Dec. 11, 1946 to Gale M. and Dorothylee Butler. He graduated Brigham Young University and served a mission for the LDS Church in Scotland. He moved to St. Johns with his family in July of 1993. Buck owned and operated his own accounting business for the past eight years. He loved his family and friends, animals and enjoyed the outdoors. He served in many positions in his church. He loved his calling as Scout Master, which he served in for many years. He also served as Elder's Quorum President, Ward Mission Leader, Sunday School Teacher, member of the Seventies and served on the Stake High Council. Buck is survived by his wife of 31 years, Virginia (Stradling) Butler; sons, Ryon and Jacob Butler; daughters, Ginee Scarbrough, Heather Morris and Nicole Butler; mother, Dorothylee Butler; brother, Bill Butler of Houston, Texas; two granddaughters, McKenna Morris and Kennedy Scarbrough. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located in downtown St. Johns at 10 a.m. A viewing will take place prior to the serve from 9-9:45 a.m. in the Relief Society room. Interment will take place at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Greer's Scott Mortuary of Winslow.
