ROE, Herbert Douglas

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 06/25/2003 Herbert Douglas Roe, 73, died June 21, 2003 in Chandler. Mr. Roe was born and raised in Bristol, Tennessee. When he was 17 years of age he joined the U.S. Air Force. During that time he spent 18 months in Guam. He met and married his wife Barbara in California and they were married 52 years. For most of his life Herbert worked as a plumber. He worked in construction for many years and had also owned his own business. He and Barbara moved to Lakeside in 1979. He was a Southern Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Roe of Lakeside; two daughters, Christine Roe of Chandler and Cary (Brent) Shoemaker of Lakeside; two sons, Clayton (Sandra) Roe of Show Low and Craig Roe of Lakeside; one brother, Harold Roe and one sister, Dorothy Crowe both of Bristol, Tennessee; and five grandchildren. Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 24 at the Lakeside Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
