Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg Arizona December 30, 1971, page11 Ernest Welch, 92, died Friday December 24 at a Phoenix nursing home. Mr. Welch was born In Edwards County, Texas in 1879. He has lived with his son, Hez Welch, in Wickenburg for the past three year. Before coming to Wickenburg Mr. Welch had been a rancher in the Prescott and Kingman areas since 1929. He is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Etta Tinsley and Mrs. Josie Cox of Oklahoma and Eddyth Comwell of Phoenix; and five sons; Bill and Glen of Kingman; Clifford of Dewey; Wiley of Buckeye and Hez of Wickenburg. Also more than 40 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Ruffner Funeral Home in Prescott. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.
