Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg Arizona February 26, 1971 Mrs. Dolores Monte - Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock last Saturday afternoon, February 21, in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for Mrs. Dolores M. Monte, age 83, affectionately known to family and friends as “Mish.” She died February 19 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sarah Hershkowitz on North Jackson Street. Burial was in the Wickenburg Cemetery. A native of Mexico, Mrs. Monte was the widow of Augustine Monte, a native of Spain who was for years in the cattle and mining business in this area. She had lived in Congress and Wickenburg for the past 68 years. In addition to her daughter Mrs. Hershkowitz, she is survived by two sons, Frank of Yucca, Arizona, and Carlos of Stockton, California. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, six of them residing in Wickenburg, and 13 great-grandchildren.
