Lucinda Johnson was born in Starhill, Lousiana on May 13, 1921 to Henry and Dorothy Wilson. From that union, two daughters were born, Lena and Lucinda Wilson. Her father, mother, sister, and husband already preceded her in death. In 1939, her family had moved to Baton Rouge, LA where she had remained most of her childhood. Later, Lucinda Wilson met Ewell Johnson and was married in 1946. They both moved to Phoenix, AZ. To that union, they had four children: Tony, Bruce, Peggy and Kathy. At that time, they united with Memorial Baptist church under the leadership of late Rev. Payton, then later united with St. John Baptist Church under leadership of the late L. J. Dunbar. To mourn and cherish her, four children, Tony Johnson, Rev. Bruce Johnson, Peggy Jones, Kathy Baskom, two daughters-in-law Brenda Johnson and Bernie Johnson, two sons-in-law, Edward Jones and Oscar Lee Baskom, two nephews Frank and Junior Taylor, two nieces, Linda and Juanita Taylor, 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends.
