MOORE, Charles Phillip


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 12/12/2003 Charles Phillip Moore, 79, St. Johns, died Dec. 5, 2003 at his home in St. Johns. Charles was born Sept. 22, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loyal friend to many. He served his country in the Unites States Army during the Korean Conflict. Charles could do most anything. He was the literal Jack of all trades and mastered anything he set out to do. He was a supervisor at Lyman Lake State Park and part owner of Lake Powell Propane. He also sold Indian jewelry. And he had a passion for hunting and fishing. He married Colleen Patterson in June of 1951. They had three children. They recently solemnized their vows at the Snowflake Temple. Charles is survived by his wife, Colleen, St. Johns; daughters, Shelley (Gail) Robinson, Page, and Susan Humphrey, St. Johns; grandchildren Nicole (Donald) Cummings, and Kimberly, McGregor and John Joseph Humphery. He was preceded in death by a son, John Charles Moore. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m at Jewkes Mortuary in St. Johns and from 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday morning at the LDS Downtown Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Downtown Chapel in St. Johns, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Johns Westside Cemetery. Jewkes Mortuary, St. John is in charge of arrangements.
