The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 12/16/2003 Katie A. Hernandez, 92, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, in Albuquerque after an extended illness. A former resident of Gallup and Bluewater, and more recently of St. Johns, she had been the owner of the Bluewater Trading Post for over 35 years. Katie was very caring and generous. She leaves many relatives and friends who will sorely miss her. She was a member of t. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She joins in eternal life, her husband, Frank A. Hernandez; grandson, David Shaw; her sisters, Dolores Lola Ortiz, Feliz Lita Baca, Dulcinea Candy Bobadilla, and Mary Rose Taylor, and her parents, Manuel and Tomasita Aragon. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Catherine Andrews; and husband, Richard; grandson, Adrian Andrews; and wife, Claudia; great grandchildren, Adrian, Paul, Natalia, Alexys, and Carlos; her sister, Bersabe Gonzales; and husband, Felipe and brother, Joseph Manuel Aragon. Funeral services in St. Johns Arizona are pending. Rosary will recited Thursday at 7 p.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel with Deacon Bob Lewis, reciting.
