SMITH, Major Edward

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 07/17/2003 Major Edward Smith, 82, died July 11, 2003 in Bannon Springs Ranch. He lived in Lakeside for the past 30 years, was a civil servant for the US Air Force and served in WWII in the US Army. He was a 25 year member of the Pinetop Lakes Golf Course and club champion for two years. He is survived by his wife Evelyn; daughter, Sharon McFall, son, Keith Smith of Pinetop; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 14 at the White Mountain Bible Church in Lakeside. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to RTA Hospice of Lakeside. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fletcher's Mortuary of Show Low.
