The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 07/23/2003 James Teel, 57, Brookfield formerly of Springfield, Missouri died Monday, July 21, 2003 at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield Missouri. He was a member of American Legion Post 0639 in Springfield. He was born Feb. 24, 1946 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, son of Arthur and Clarissa Maxine (Haydon) Teel. He is survived by two sons;; David Teel, Brookfield, Andrew and Jennifer Teel of Springfield, Missouri; daughter-in-law and son-in-law Tandra and Greg Merisotes of Fair Grove, Missouri; mother, Clarissa Teel of Dewey; two sisters Rosetta Bruce of Dewey, Lucille Scott of Austin; nine grandchildren; and several other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Arthur Gladwell; and sister, Judy Somers. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 25 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Springfield, Missouri. Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. Visitation will be at the church July 25 starting at 11 a.m. until time of service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rhodes Funeral Home in Brookfield, Missouri.
