Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg Arizona May 20, 1971, page 10 Lawrence Roberts - A memorial service was conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home for Lawrence M. Roberts who died May 14 in Community Hospital here. The Rev. W. Howard Blazer of the First Presbyterian Church officiated. Mrs. Roberts, who was 73 years of age, and Mrs. Roberts, had been spending their winters here for the past decade, moving here as permanent residents a year or so ago when they purchased a home in the C-4 Tract west of town. Mr. Roberts, a pioneer and recognized authority in air pollution control field, was serving as national director of the Air Pollution Control Association at the time of his death. He was a retired director of Research-Cottrell, Inc., in Bound Brook, N.J. Mr. Roberts was born in Slatington, Pa., was a veteran of World War I and a graduate of Penn State College. He belonged to the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the American Chemical Society. He was also a member of the Valley Forward Association in Phoenix. He is survived by his wife, Mae; a daughter Margaret of Kenosha, Wisc., a sister, Mrs. Russel Rex of Slatington, and a brother John of Hamburg, Pa. Burial was in the Arandts Cemetery near Easton, Pa.
