Dell Rose Mangerich, 84, of Glendale, AZ, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 26, 2003. She was born on March 3, 1919 in Adrian, MN to Ben and Amalia Gerken Willenborg. She married Walter T. Mangerich in Iowa on September 18, 1941.
She is survived by her four daughters: Carla Malvick, Scottsdale, AZ, Margy O'Brien, Albuquerque, NM, Jeanne Mangerich, Mount Rainier, WA and Mollie Mangerich, Lawrence, KS; two granddaughters, Anne Malvick Norton of Denver, CO and Katie Malvick, Kingman, AZ., as well as a sister and brother in Iowa and a sister in Florida.
Moving from Iowa to Prescott, AZ in 1962, Dell Rose worked with Walt at Mangerich Motors and was active in Sacred Heart Parish. They retired to Glendale in 1981 where Dell Rose participated in activities at St. Raphael's Catholic Church. Upon Walt's death in 1984, she continued to enjoy her golf game, Elderhostel adventures, and traveling with her daughters.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, April 29 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 5525 W. Acoma Rd., Glendale, AZ. 85306.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the St. Raphael Parish Hall Fund.
