The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 07/23/2003 Katherine "Katie" Chavez entered into rest July 11, 2003. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Bonifacio M. Ramirez; her children, Flora (Sonny) Finch, Albert (Frances Gracia) Chavez, Jr., Luis R. Chavez, Joann Luna, Paul S. (Roxie) Chavez, Rebecca (Frank) Hernandez, Theresa (Carol Cullen) Chavez, Steven (Becky) Chavez, Bonnie Rae Ramirez, and Theresa (Michael) Blackwell; 24 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. Katie was preceded in death by her first husband of 41 years, Albert Vito Chavez. Funeral mass was held Wednesday, July 16 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with interment in Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Mortensen Kings Funeral Center in Phoenix.
