WENTLAND, Charles A., Sr.

Charles A. Wentland Sr., 79, of Scottsdale, passed away on - Monday, May 5, 2003. 

Charles was a devoted husband to his wife, Georgine of 58 years. He was a loving father to his children, Paul, Charles (Roseanne), Connie Chapman (Richard), Betty Wentland, and Mary Cornett (George). Charles is also survived by his 3 sisters, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He was an Eagle Scout, served as a Captain with the Army Air Corps in WWII with the 454th bomb squadron and 323rd bomb group 9th AAF, and was a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2003, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85257. Services will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church, 1030 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85257. Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1028 E. McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85006.
