Ray Anthony Duran, 52, died in Snowflake July 30, 2003.
Ray was born Feb. 26, 1951 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, moving to the Los Angeles area where he lived until moving to Snowflake in 1990. He joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was a member of the Snowflake Stake 6th Ward. Ray served in the Army as an infantryman. His generosity, humor, and love for his fellow man will be greatly missed.
Ray is survived by his wife, Mary Duran of Snowflake; two sons, Rene and his wife Jessica and their daughter, Victoria Ann Duran of Covina, California, Andre Duran of Snowflake; one daughter Faythe Duran of Snowflake; mother, Mary Duran of Pico Riviera, California; one brother, John (Margo) Duran of Downey, California; two sisters, Barbra Alverez of Ontario, California and Katherine (Jared) Decker of Snowflake.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfonzo Duran and many relatives, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 11 a.m. at The Snowflake Main Street Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with a viewing from 9-10:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsey Memorial Cemetery.
Owens Mortuary of Snowflake handled the arrangements.
