KINDELAY, Horace (Ivan)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 08/07/2003 Horace "Ivan" Kindelay, 23, died in Mesa July 31, 2003. Ivan was born in Phoenix and lived in Canyon Day all of his life. He was a member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe. He attended school in Whiteriver and graduated from Alchesay High School with the class of 1998, where he was on the Alchesay High School football team. He loved the outdoors and especially the White Mountains where he would go for rides, he also loved to camp, hunt and fish. For the past several years he enjoyed gathering firewood for members of his family. He is survived by his parents, Nathan and Arita Fall of Canyon Day, biological father, Carlton Kindelay; five brothers, Nathan Fall, Marlton Kindelay, Byron Kindelay, Elliott Kindelay, all of Canyon Day, Kevin Kindelay of East Fork; five sisters, Estrellita Galvan of Mesa, Saralita Fall, Marylita Fall, Karlita James, Clara Kindelay, all of Canyon Day; four aunts, Aloma Lavender, Sarita Classay of Canyon Day, Veronica Stevens and Leora Mae Pailzote of Whiteriver. He was preceded in death by his biological mother Pearlita Burnette. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 9 at the Fall residence in Canyon Day with a two day wake. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
