The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 08/07/2003 Mary E. Connolly, 95, passed away in Mesa, July 29, 2003. Mary was born to Henry and Sarah Marble on March 23, 1908 in Concho, AZ. She was a lifetime resident of Arizona and the St. Johns area. She married Noah Otis Connolly on July 27, 1927. They were married 49 years. From that union five sons were born. Mary was a nurseĆ­s aide by profession and was employed at St. Johns Community Hospital and also Mesa General Hospital. When she was not working as a professional care-giver she took care of her family and spent her down time keeping busy with her hobbies. She loved hand-work and liked to quilt, crochet, tat and embroidery. She is survived by her sons; LaVere O. (Wanda) Connolly, St. Johns, Dewain A. (Joy) Connolly, Mesa, W. Bruce (Karla) Connolly, Kingman, her daughter-in-law; Marilyn Connolly, Mesa, and her sister; LaVerna Skinner, Placerville, Calif. She leaves a legacy of 23 grandchildren, 101 great grandchildren and 38 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Noah O. Connolly, two sons, Marion J. and Ray Dean Connolly and seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services were at the St.Johns Downtown Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday, August 2. Interment was at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery. Jewkes Mortuaries, Springerville/ St. Johns was in charge of arrangements
