MCCLANAHAN, Elizabeth (Betty) Ann

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 09/04/2003 Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Hoover-McClanahan was born Oct. 25. She died at the age of 63 Sept. 3, 2003 after a long struggle with cancer. Elizabeth an Arizona native was born in Higley, attended school in Chandler and had lived in the White Mountain since 1977. She is survived by her son Lenny Hoover; her daughters, Wanda Mann and Jenny Haas; as well as her younger brother Bob McClanahan all residents of White Mountain Lake; Elizabeth's surviving elder sister Pat Huggins is a resident of Orangeburg, South Carolina; former husband and friend Bill Hoover of Buckeye; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice of the White Mountains for their stalwart commitment in helping the family see that Elizabeth passed from her life with the dignity and comfort befitting such a valiant soul. Funeral services will be held at Owens Mortuary Saturday, Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. Interment and a short grave side service will be at the Show Low Cemetery in Show Low.
