Mildred "Midge" Williams, 77, died Aug. 30, 2003 in Deer Valley.
Midge was born in Provo, Utah where she was raised and attended school. She completed her high school in Huntington Park, California where they moved for her father's work. Midge married Orvan Bryant Nov. 25, 1945 and together they have one daughter Cathy. They lived in Scottsdale and Phoenix where she worked as a controller for Golden Heritage Corporation for over 20 years.
Together they visited the Show Low area for several years and retired here in the early 80s. Midge was very active in the area as a member of the Women's Club, the Auxiliary at Navapache Regional Medical Center, the District Board at the hospital. She was also active in the political party she was affiliated with. Midge was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was always willing to serve. She was the ward chorister at the time of her passing.
She is survived by her husband James "Jim" Williams of Show Low; her step-son Bruce and Louie Williams of Colorado; and her daughter Cathy and Jim Quam of Idaho; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elsie Montag; and her brother, Glenn Montag.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 4 at The Show Low Stake Center, The Church of Latter-day Saints.
