Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona September 7, 1972 Harold Handley – Former Indiana Governor Harold W. Handley of Indianapolis, who died while on a vacation in Wyoming had been a frequent guest at Rancho de los Caballeros here, visits which enhanced his large circle of friendships. The Associated Press reported that he suffered a heart attack while vacation at a private resort and was taken to a Rawlins hospital where he died at age 62. He was governor of Indiana from 1957 to 1961 and was chairman of the board of Handley-Miller, and Indianapolis Advertising Agency. Survivors include his wife Jean, daughter of the late William F. Winterable of Wickenburg.
