Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona December 6, 1972 Annie Grace Hamer – Private funeral services conducted by Father Bill Forrest of St. Albann’s Episcopal Church, were held for Annie Grace Hamer who died at the home of her daughter, Ruth Hamer Davis, of 158 East Yavapai on December 1st. Mrs. Hamer recently celebrated her 98th birthday with friends on September 20 – born in 1875 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada – she called Nebraska her home from the age of six until her arrival in Wickenburg eight years ago. Married to Charles Hamer in 1899, her family consisted of six children, two of whom preceded her in death, Willard and John, along with her husband. In addition to Ruth Davis, those children living are; Harry C. Hamer of Chadron, Nebraska, Rollo C. Hamer of Stone Mt., Georgia and Kathryn (Mrs. Harry) Wilson of Clearwater, Florida. Her grandchildren number 9 and her great grandchildren, 23. Mrs. Davis wishes to express her deep gratitude to Edna Anthony for her years of dedicated devotion and care – with special thanks to Dr. & Mrs. Arby Bailey and to all her many friends who have shared these hours with her and for the expression of their many condolences.
