BAER, H.C. (Bill)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, April 30, 2003 H.C. "Bill" Baer, 84, of Bemidji, died April 26th in Bemidji. Services will be 11:00 am Wed, April 30th at the Episcopal Church in Bemidji. Visitation will be 5 - 7 pm Tuesday at the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji and one hour before the service at the church on Wed. He was born July 22, 1918 in Bemidji, Minnesota, the son of Homer C. Baer and Isabelle (Stene) Baer. Bill joined his father in the management of the Security State Bank of Bemidji. Following the death of his father, Mr. Baer became president of the bank in 1953, a position he held until 1978. Thereafter, Mr. Baer remained Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Security Bank US until 2003. Survived by his wife Jessie E. Baer, sister Isabelle Baer Famiglietti, sons John W. Baer and Carl Baer (Terry), grandchildren John Baer Jr., Marc Baer (Beth), Tiffany Paine (Bob), Erin Baer, Amanda Kovar (Karel), and Ryan Baer and great grandchildren Ashley, Emily, Nicholas, Matthew and Billy.
