GROOMS, Marvin Richard

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, April 30, 2003 Marvin Richard Grooms, of Phoenix, entered into rest April 26, 2003 at the age of 80. He was born May 14, 1922 in Madison, KS to Richard and Mina Grooms. Mr. Grooms served in both the US Army and US Air Force. He served in combat during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He also served during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his children Thomas, Timothy, Candee, Travis, and Joel; sisters, Wilma, Ila and Delores; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. His wife of 46 years, Delores preceded him in death in October 1999. A memorial service will be at 4:00 PM Thursday May 1, 2003 at Paradise Chapel Funeral Home 3934 E. Indian School Rd in Phoenix.
