SINCLAIR, Shull Alexander (Alex), II


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, April 30, 2003 Shull Alexander "Alex" Sinclair II, 60, of Chandler, died April 24, 2003, in Chandler. He was born in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, and lived most of his life in Arizona, except for about five years in Peru as a teenager. His greatest joy was visiting with people, especially his family and all the relatives who came to an annual Mother's Day reunion. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Betty Beard; daughter Stephanie; sons Michael and Chris; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother George. He dedicated most of his 40 year career to public safety, recently as a risk engineer for G & G Risk Management Consultants Inc., working with Zurich American Insurance Company and Phelps Dodge Corp., and previously as safety manager with Pizzagalli Construction Co., in Denver. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Management in 1981 from the University of Phoenix and for many years was a volunteer with the American Red Cross. He also has been a manager with the Arizona Mine Inspector's office from 1979 to 1989 and was a Tucson Police officer from 1970 to 1979. Memorial services are 10 am Saturday, May 10, at Carr-Tenney Mortuary Chapel, 2621 S. Rural Road, Tempe. Contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 6135 N.
