NICHOLS, Neal Duane

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 09/15/2003 Neal Duane Nichols, 78, died Sept. 10, 2003 in Overgaard. Neil was born Jan. 3, 1925 in Enterprise, Kansas. He served his country proudly in the Navy during WWII. Neal earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas and went on to complete his Master's degree. He taught English and Social Studies at Phoenix Union High School where he was an Administrator for the Alternative school. Neal is survived by his wife, Mary Nichols of Overgaard; his children, Roxanne Henke of Michigan, Bryon Nichols of Colorado Springs, Dylan Nicholas of Phoenix and Pennee Nichols of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry W. and Hazel (Cross) Nichols; his sister Twila Ehrsan.
