LEWIS, Cheryl Sue

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 09/18/2003 Cheryl Sue Lewis, 22, died in Phoenix Sept. 11, 2003. She was born in Whiteriver and attended grade school in Cibecue. Cheryl traveled to Riverside, California to attend Sherman Indian High School. After high school she enjoyed spending time with her friends from East Fork. She also enjoyed fishing the lakes in the White Mountains. Cheryl will be missed by all. Cheryl is survived by her parents, Franklin and Cecilia Lewis; god-parents, Tom and Verlie Caddo; sisters, Stephanie, Lucinda, Nancy Lewis, Becky Thompson and Antonia Rustin; her brothers, Christopher Lewis and Anthony Thompson, Jr.; her nieces, Bessie Case, Kisha Rustin and Brianna Rustin; her nephews, Hanson V. Case and Elliot Zospah; her grandparents, Martha Cooley and Lucy Lewis. She was preceded in death by Alona Charis Thompson. Funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at The Cottonwood Gym in Cibecue, with a two-day wake beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 at the family home in Cibecue.
