Kenneth J. Konkel, 80, a longtime resident of Snowflake died Sept. 12, 2003 in Sun Lakes with his wife and children by his side.
He was born July 4, 1923 in Bark River, Michigan, Ken served his country in the United States Coast Guard during the World War II. He moved his family to the West in 1961 to improve his mother's failing health and worked at the Southwest Paper Mill in Snowflake where he retired in 1984. He will always and forever be loved and remembered in his family's heart.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna; his son, Curtis (Leia); his daughter, Pamela; grandchildren Kimberly, Jamie, Tamara and Brian, and great granddaughter, Kiera. He was also blessed with many nieces and nephews.
A private interment is planned at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Carefree. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to: Emanual Evangelical Lutheran Church P.O. Box 309 Taylor, AZ 85939
