The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 09/30/2003 Nancy L. Fink, 66, died peacefully Sept. 23, 2003. Nancy was born in Sterling, Colorado Feb. 5, 1937 to Emily and Robert Peters. She made Phoenix her home in 1954. She worked for US West for over 25 years and retired in 1990. Nancy married Thomas Fink Jr. in 1972 and together they enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. In 1998 they moved to Lakeside, where they made many great friends. Their house was always full of love and their door was always open to friends and family. Her family was her greatest joy in life; she adored spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy had many hobbies, including cooking and entertaining, fishing, she was also an avid crafter and enjoyed handcrafting holiday gifts for her family and friends. She was an active member of the Community Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women, and the White Mountain Woman's Club. Prior to their move to Lakeside, Nancy and Tom lived in Phoenix where they were active members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Paradise Valley. Nancy is survived by her husband, Thomas; her sister, Mary Sue Andrinopoulos of Charlotte, North Carolina, Emily Eldred of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Gerald Peters of Sparks, Nevada; and by her children, Lori Cardinal, Lori's husband Mike and their daughter Kailee, Joe Flachman, his wife Jennifer and their children, Zach and Emily, Charles Flachman, his wife Nancy and their children Shauna, Melissa and Greg, Thomas Fink III, Cindy Valero and her sons Benny and Andrew; great-grandchildren Benny; and a large extended family. A memorial service to remember and celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church, 1940 S. Penrod Lane in Pinetop. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Community Presbyterian Church in Pinetop. Arrangements are under the direction of Fletcher's Mortuary Show Low.
