CHENEY, Herbert, Sr.

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 10/10/2003 Herbert Cheney, Sr., 62, died Oct. 2, 2003 in Whiteriver. Herbert was born May 30, 1941 in Whiteriver and lived in East Fork. He is survived by his children, Herbert Cheney, Jr., June Cheney and Jennifer C. Quintero; step-daughters, Merceleen Bond and Joyce Yazzie; sister, Louise C. Riley; along with 28 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and many relatives. A wake will be held Friday, Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. at Jennifer and Evan Quintero, Jr.'s residence in Corn on the Cob in East Fork. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Riverside Church in East Fork with Pastor Valentina Begay officiating. Interment will be in the Seven Mile Hill Cemetery. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
