Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, March 26, 2004 David A. Tarter, II, age 42, died March 22, 2004, at his home in Dewey. He was born Feb. 13, 1962, in Phoenix, the son of David and Jill (Young) Tarter. David was a graduate of DeVry University, where he learned his computer skills. He enjoyed going to rock concerts and drag races, his morning pot of coffee, a latte or a cappuccino. His greatest joy was spending quality time with his sons, from coaching T-ball, camping up on Mingus Mountain at Potato Patch or beyond, rebuilding engines, bow hunting or just being outdoors with them. He had a love of trains, model cars, movies, and was a "Trekkie". David is survived by his mother, Jill Tarter of Phoenix; sons, Arthur and Joshua of Prescott Valley; sister and brother-in-law, Yolanda and Greg Yarbrough of Dewey; the mother of his sons, Mary (Tarter) Wallace of Prescott Valley; nieces, Amberly, Staria and Violit; and nephew, Gregory James. David was great-uncle to Gregory G., Erica, Benjamin and Ailinn. David is also survived by a large extended family. A Celebration of David's life will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 South Cortez, Prescott. Information provided by survivors.
