Cheryl Dougherty Robertson, 63, of Chino Valley, Ariz., went home to be with the Lord as a result of a horse accident on March 5, 2010. She was born and raised in Scottsbluff, Neb., the daughter of Russell and Opal Dougherty.
Cheryl recently retired from Honeywell, married George Robertson and moved to Chino Valley a year ago. She was passionate about horses, country music, rodeos and the outdoors.
She will be missed by her husband, George Robertson; son, Mike Littell; daughter, Annie Lewis (Gary); and grandchildren, Kai and Kayla Lewis; sisters, Priscilla Funk (Dave) and Connie Howard (Kevin); and father, Russell Dougherty. She was preceded in death by her mother, Opal Dougherty.
Her Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Palm Vista Baptist Church, 17475 W. Bell Road in Surprise, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Horses with H.E.A.R.T. (Hands-on Equine Assisted Riding Therapy), P.O. Box 186, Dewey, Ariz. 86327.
