(PRESCOTT) John B. Monreal, 47 years old, widely known among Yavapai county cattlemen, died yesterday in a local hospital after a short illness.
A World War veteran, Mr. Monreal saw service with the American forces in the Argonne and Meuse offensives in 1918. At the time of his death he was employed as a cowboy on the Gordon Koch ranch in the Camp Wood district.
Monreal was a member of a family of California pioneers. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Angelina Monreal; three sisters, Mrs. Claud Stallings, Mrs. Hayden Brown, and Mrs. Mary Ware; and a brother, Diego Monreal, all of Prescott.
The funeral will be held at 9 a. m. tomorrow in Sacred Heart
Church. American Legion rites will be held at the graveside in Mountain
View Cemetery.
