HILL, Sidney Dale

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, March 6, 2010 Sidney Dale Hill, 80, of Pierce City, Mo., died Feb. 8, 2010, at McCune Brooks Hospital, Carthage. Mr. Hill was born Feb. 23, 1929, in California, Ky., the son of Andrew and Celesta (Daniels) Hill. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. On June 18, 1954, he married Mary Alice Calhoon in Prescott, Ariz.; she died Sept. 13, 1996. During the time they lived in Prescott, he worked for the Southern Union Gas Co. He moved to Pierce City from Williams, Ariz., in 1963 with his family. Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Lynn Reed of Pierce City; one son, Gary David Hill of Pierce City; one sister, Martha Holloway of San Diego, Calif.; and one grandson, John David Hill of Kansas City, Mo.
