GLOBE) Word of the death in Fredericksburg, Tex., March 7 of Edward
Arbelger, 86 years old, was received, here today by his nephew, E. C. Alberthal.
Born in Fredericksburg January 18, 1855, he came to Arizona in March, 1877, and lived in this state until two years ago, when he returned to his birthplace for a visit with relatives. While there he suffered a paralytic stroke and had been confined to his bed at his sister's home until he died.
He worked at Pioneer a few months after his arrival in Arizona and then went, to Silver King. He lived in Globe many years. In 1884, he joined, the government pack train service at San Carlos as a packer, horse and mule shoer. He had many exciting experiences with the soldiers while they were out chasing the then wild Apache
Indians.
