Funeral Services for Henry Bitsouie, 63, will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the First Indian Baptist Church, 811 W. Aspinwall in Winslow, AZ. Interment to follow at Desert View Cemetery
At Portneut Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho after an extended illness and with family by his side, Henry Bitsouie of Pocatello, ID passed away Monday, March 1, 2010. Henry was born May 28, 1946, in Flagstaff, AZ
He spent his childhood day in the Leupp area, his hometown. From there he attended Flagstaff Elementary School. During his high school years he enrolled at Intermountain Indian School in Brigham City, UT, he graduated in 1966.
His occupation was pipe fitter welder and fabrication. He worked in different states such as Hesston, UT, Russellville, AR, Framington, NM, Page and St. John, AZ, American Falls and FMC, Pocatello, ID. He ended his job in 2001 due to his health.
His hobbies were reading the bible, listening to endtime message tapes. He loved to sing in english and navajo, while he played with his guitar and his harmonica. He also enjoyed traveling to revivals. The main thing he cherished was to spend time with his grand kids.
Later then, Henry married Lois Ann on July 7, 1967, they have been together for 44 years.
Henry is survived by his wife Lois Ann. He had 2 daughters, Vicky and Cynthia and 3 sons, Christopher, Leander and Reggie. He also had 11 grandkids.
As for his health problem, he was diagnosed with Kidney failure in Nov. 2005. During the summer of 2006 he had open heart surgery bypass and in Feb. Of 2008 he lost his eye sight and became completely blind.
Henry spoke with wisdom and knowledge. He taught everyone he knew and shared his thoughts to a stranger on a street or maybe just a close relative. He was a great man that suffered through a lot, but we will never imagine what a great pain and suffering he went through. He will be greatly missed, as a wonderful husband, father, grandpa and a great brother. Lets not forget about him.
