DERAMUS, Gertrude C.

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 10/20/2003 Gertrude C. DeRamus, 83 of Lakeside, died Oct. 12, 2003 in Bannon Springs Ranch. She was born April 1, 1920 in Miami. She lived in Kearny for 25 years where she was a bookkeeper. She served as a WAC during WWII. Upon retirement, Gertrude moved to Lakeside where she was active in the Community Presbyterian Church and a volunteer for RTA Hospice. She is survived by her sons, Robert of Show Low, and Joe of Bakersfield, California; daughter, Carol Gillan of Roswell, California; sisters, Ruby Caceletto and Betty English both of Phoenix; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A celebration service was held at the Presbyterian Church in Pinetop Oct. 15. Donations to RTA Hospice, 5658 Hwy 260, Suite 5, Lakeside, AZ 85929 or Gertrude DeRamus Memorial Fund, Community Presbyterian Church, 1940 Penrod Lane, Pinetop 85935. Arrangements are under the direction of Fletcher's Mortuary of Show Low.
