The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 10/24/2003 Anna C. Dowd, 92, died Oct. 10, 2003 at the Payson Care Center in Payson. Anna has lived in Lakeside for the past three years. She was a woman who spent most of her life in the the service of others as a registered nurse. Even in her illness, she continued to help the nurses of the care center. This endeared her to all the staff there. She was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her son, James (Gloria) Dowd of Linden; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A rosary was held at St. Ritas Catholic Church Oct. 14 with burial at the Show Low Cemetery Oct. 15. Fletcher's Mortuary of Show Low handled arrangements.
