ORTEGA, Manuel (Tuffy)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 10/28/2003 Manuel "Tuffy" Ortega, 69, died Oct. 22, 2003. He was born in Phoenix and lived in Lakeside for the past 15 years. He retired after 25 years as superintendent of Pulice Construction Company. He graduated from Scottsdale High School, and attended Arizona State University. He is survived by his wife, Connie Gamboa Ortega; mother, Elena Ortega; four sons, Mikel, Harry, Manuel III, and Steve; three daughters, Rosemary Lopez, Carmen Anton, and Monica Galaviz; five brothers, Ramon, Reynaldo, Alex, David and Alberto; three sisters, Mary Moore, Peggy Orme, and Pat Frost; 26 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Oct. 28 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3801 N. Miller Road in Scottsdale.
