Frances Mae Zitar of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away March 2, 2010 at the age of 76.  She was born in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of Frank and Carrie (Hopkins) Palmer.  

She was a member of the Royal Palm Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church.  A beloved wife and mother, she is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Zitar, Sr., daughter Teri Lynn Barrus (Paul), son Steven Mark Zitar, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by son, William P. Zitar Jr. in 2009.  

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am with visitation from 9-10 am on Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, 8710 N. 3rd Ave.  Burial will follow at the Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Ave.
