FILIPPONE, William (Bill) Clifton

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 11/18/2003 William Bill Clifton Filippone, 52, died Nov. 12, 2003 at his home in Overgaard after a long bout with cancer. Bill was born Nov. 24, 1950 in Camden, New Jersey. He was a Certified Welder by trade, and enjoyed race car driving and was an awesome solemn water skier. He was an active member of the American Legion. Those that knew Bill viewed him as a very loving husband, father, family member and friend. Bill had a great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and to make people laugh. Bill was a descendant of Jaun and Damacia Baca of Baca Ranch and Cemetery in Heber. Bill will be truly missed by all. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Charles Filippone Sr. He is survived by his spouse Irene Hoke Filippone; mother, Mary L. Filippone; daughter, Aimee Martin; Son, William Filippone, Jr.; daughter, Michelle Vowosdol; step-sons, Taylor Hoke, Jason Hoke; sister, Yolanda Cano; brothers, Charles Filippone, Jr., and Donald Filippone; sister, Nancy Kartmann and seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made at Community First Bank in Overgaard. Memorial services to follow at the American Legion in Overgaard.
