HOLT, Ferne

Ferne Holt, 90, born in Arkansas July 14, 1913, went home to be with Jesus Nov. 12, 2003. 

At the time of her passing she was living in Show Low. Ferne grew up in Oklahoma, where she earned a degree in music and education and enjoyed leading the Glee Club in college and then teaching first grade. Ferne met and married Ray Holt in 1937. They had two daughters, Anita and Pat and lived in Oklahoma and Texas until moving to Mesa in 1967. Ferne always loved singing, piano, sewing, cooking, church activities, and her family. She will be missed greatly but her family will look forward to joining her in Heaven one day.
  
Ferne is survived by her loving husband, Roy; her daughter, Anita Edwards; four adoring granddaughters; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 14 at the First Baptist Church in Show Low.
      
Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
