The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 11/21/2003 Crosby Colelay, 73, died Nov. 12, 2003 at Navapache Regional Medical Center in Show Low. Crosby was born Jan. 29, 1930 in Alchesay Flats in Whiteriver and lived in Whiteriver. He is survived by his sons, Chet Colelay, Travis Colelay, Sr., and Virgil Colelay, Barney Colelay and Challis Colelay, Sr.; daughters, Joreen Foster, Tricia Colelay, Cynthia Colelay and Leticia Colelay; one son-in-law; three daughter-in-laws; sister, Nettie Declay; 28 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three nephews and three nieces. Crosby was preceded in death by his son Nathaniel Colelay; and his daughter, Angeline Colelay. A wake will be held Friday, Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. at Challis Colelay, Sr.'s residence in Rainbow City, Whiteriver. Home service is Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Leroy Tate officiating. Interment will be in Chieftain Cemetery, Alchesay Flats-Whiteriver. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
